I really loved walking to nearby Ampthill Park, a beautiful green space perfect for a relaxing stroll, and the quaint village setting made exploring so enjoyable, just a short distance away you can reach the Forest Centre & Millennium Country Park to immerse yourself in nature. breakfast was delightful with lovely scrambled eggs on toast, and the quaint pub area offered mouthwatering food options for dinner.

The Superior King Room offered a lovely, albeit compact, space to relax in, with a particularly comfortable bed. The breakfast selection, while limited for non-cooked options, still provided tasty choices. an unfortunate incident during an evening event led to a lack of service at the bar due to technical issues, which negatively impacted our experience. Despite the initial charm, the management's handling of the situation left much to be desired.

Had a great time with friends exploring the local countryside, hitting the River Great Ouse and enjoying relaxing walks. The rooms were clean and spacious, making it perfect for our group. Don't miss out on the delightful dinner options. the atmosphere was great and the staff were friendly!

I recently stayed for a night and was highly impressed with the beautiful room, featuring a lovely outdoor area that is perfect for dining. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I truly enjoyed the delicious food offered at the restaurant. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive.

The breakfast could have been more exciting—decent pub-style but lacked standout flavors and fresh ingredients. I found the kettle handle burning hot to the touch, the shower screen had a mind of its own, and a weird smell lingered from the bathroom. parking was a hassle. had to resort to a street nearby when the on-site lot was full.

I enjoyed my stay at The Knife, where the staff accommodated my requests well. The evening menu featured some delicious options, although I had a slight issue with my mattress comfort. The peaceful setting offered a soothing escape after a long day exploring cultural sights nearby.

The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely outside patio. The location is picturesque for a stroll, and I enjoyed a delicious meal in a relaxed atmosphere, offering a great choice of dishes.

There were some signs of dampness, and the carpets felt a bit grimy underfoot. The breakfast didn’t meet my expectations either. there were limited options and nothing hot despite promises in the room. On the bright side, the staff were friendly and attentive, which enhanced my experience somewhat. Just be prepared for some imperfections if you decide to stay here.

Delicious food and lovely outdoor space

I recently had a wonderful stay with a great dining experience. The food was absolutely fantastic, especially the lamb shank, and the outdoor dining area was a lovely bonus. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a peaceful getaway. I did notice some minor cleanliness issues that could be addressed.

Recommend for a weekend rest

Nicely decorated, clean room, with a great selection of ales at the bar and a delicious homemade pie with all the trimmings for dinner.

Free Wi-Fi in rooms was great, but fish and chips had soggy chips.
